Job summary

MNP LLP in Kenora, Ontario is seeking an Accountant in Assurance and Accounting to join a dynamic team. You will support compilations, reviews, audits, and tax work while applying IFRS/GAAP/ASPE knowledge and managing multiple client files.

This role involves client collaboration, preparing financial statements, and contributing to process improvements. Travel flexibility is required; CPA prerequisites are encouraged as part of career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration (accounting/finance major preferred).
• CPA PEP prerequisites in progress or planned upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Apply knowledge of IFRS/GAAP/ASPE in client work.
• Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files.
• Perform AR/AP, asset disposition, and payroll walkthrough with clients.
• Prepare balance sheets, P&L, and other reports showing engagement findings.
