Job summary

MNP in Ontario, Brockville, is seeking an Accountant for Assurance & Accounting. You will handle compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements, while preparing financial statements and client summaries.

The role emphasises collaboration with client teams and balancing multiple client files. Ideal candidates hold a commerce/business degree with accounting focus, are CPA-PEP enrolled or progressing, and have up to 1 year of accounting experience, with GAAP/IFRS/SEC familiarity and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration with accounting/finance focus.
• Enrolled in CPA PEP or pursuing CPA designation.
• 0–1 year of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and SEC concepts.
• Experience with accounting and tax software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements.
• Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses; manage multiple files and counts.
• Perform AR/AP, asset acquisitions and payroll walkthrough with clients.
• Summarize financial status with statements and reports.
• Review and correct discrepancies in financial entries and reports.
• Prepare correspondence, reports and client summaries.
• Collaborate with engagement team and client contacts.
• Travel as necessary.
