Job summary

MNP in Canada is seeking an Accountant to join our Assurance & Accounting team. You will develop skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax while advising clients and supporting engagement teams.

You will work with IFRS, GAAP and ASPE knowledge, set up new client files, manage multiple engagements, prepare financial statements and reports, and travel as needed.

The role emphasizes collaboration, client service, and CPA PEP prerequisites with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting/finance preferred).
• Prerequisites for CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) considered upon employment.
• Prior accounting office experience is an asset.
• Customer service experience is an asset.
• Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Set up client files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses, manage multiple files.
• Perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll walk-through with clients.
• Summarize financial status with balance sheets and income statements.
• Review and correct discrepancies in financial entries and reports.
• Prepare engagement correspondence, reports and client presentations.
• Collaborate with engagement team and build client relationships.
