Job summary

MNP is seeking an Accountant for its Assurance & Accounting team in Canada. You will help deliver tailored financial information, perform compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax services, and support clients across evolving reporting landscapes.

The role emphasizes applying IFRS/GAAP/ASPE, setting up client files, and collaborating with the client engagement team. Travel flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major preferred)
• CPA Prerequisites for admission (PEP) upon employment
• Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset
• Customer service and/or client service experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax
• Apply knowledge of IFRS/GAAP/ASPE
• Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files
• Perform A/R, A/P, asset acquisitions, payroll walkthrough with clients
• Summarize financial status with balance sheets, P&L and reports
• Assess audit evidence and review discrepancies in financial entries
• Prepare entries and postings; create client correspondence and summaries
• Collaborate with engagement team and build client relationships
• Contribute to improving work processes using internal systems
• Maintain flexibility to travel as necessary
