Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is a remote digital agency delivering paid media, SEO, CRO and web services for marketing-led brands. As Account Manager you will own an established book of recurring clients, grow the relationship, handle renewals, and drive expansion across the portfolio.

Our sales team brings in new clients while you maintain and grow the existing book, with a seven-figure annual quota across retention and upsells.

Qualifications

• Agency account management experience in marketing, digital, creative or advertising agencies.

Responsibilities

• Own retention across your book of clients, including renewals and early risk signals.
• Identify upsell opportunities and close additional projects within existing clients.
• Collaborate with strategists and delivery teams to present a single, cohesive voice to clients.

What You Will Own

• Retention across your book: the relationship, the renewal and the early warning when an account is drifting.


• Upsells and expansion: finding the next project inside each client and selling it.


• A seven-figure annual quota across retention and upsells.


• Working with the strategists and delivery team who run the work, so the client hears one clear voice.

What You Need

• Agency account management experience. Marketing, digital, creative or advertising agency. This is a must.


• A record of keeping clients and selling them more work, with numbers you can walk us through.


• Comfort carrying a quota.


• Clear, calm communication with senior client stakeholders.

Base plus commission, split 50/50.
