Business Excellence Sr. Engineer - Fixed term 12 months - MedTech SJC
Skilled Senior Engineer to drive the JJOS Optima and Business Excellence Processes at our MedTech Brazil Site. This role is essential in facilitating Lean methodologies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization, besides the leadership and control of the Cost Improvident Projects and Waste/MUV management
Key Responsibilities:
Own and lead the JJOS Optima Process diagnostics, embedding, and improving deployment across the site.
Coach initiative leads on JJOS methodology and support area supervisors and managers in engaging their teams through kaizen activities and generating improvement ideas.
Drive Lean philosophy by mentoring employees on Lean principles and techniques.
Facilitate Lean-related activities such as Root Cause Problem Solving and Value Stream Mapping on site.
Share the ownership of Kaizens and Program ideas with other coworkers.
Serve as a subject matter expert for Waste and Cost Improvement, aiding in business case creation, forecasting, and reporting for the site Business Plan. Rules governances and processes to ensure flawless execution of Yield and CIP Strategy.
Prepare reports and presentations on BEx topics for local and global teams.
Support site strategy related to Goals and Objectives (G&Os) and resource management for ongoing projects.
Monitor and ensure execution of the Business Continuity Plan at the MedTech Brazil Site.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Certification in Green Belt or relevant Lean qualification is desirable.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
Solid knowledge in MS Excel
Basic familiarity with power platform tools (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate).
Proficient communication skills in English.
Experience & Skills Required:
Strong business acumen with the ability to identify cost reduction opportunities within a manufacturing environment.
Skilled in process improvement and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Proven project management experience and knowledge of Lean thinking, including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Standard Work, and Waste Reduction.
Excellent listening and analytical skills, with the ability to facilitate and lead teams through complex changes.
Strong interpersonal skills to inspire trust and quickly build credibility; capable of collaboration and influence.
Ability to articulate complex changes clearly to others, supporting relationship development and conflict resolution.
