Tech Manager, Ecommerce Backend

As a Tech Manager, you will be responsible for leading the backend development teams in building our global e‑commerce platform, proposing the best solutions and technology stacks and ensuring the integration of processes and systems necessary to increase the scalability of our business and accelerate our capacity for development and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical backend development team responsible for new e‑commerce solutions & Digital Product Enhancements.
- Propose and validate the best development languages and technology stacks to be adopted.
- Interact with business areas, translating needs into technical requirements.
- Negotiate and mediate conflicts between teams and areas of the company.
- Ensure proper prioritization of the backlog.
- Manage highly complex projects (costs, deadlines, scope).
- Work together with the architecture team to ensure performance and scalability of solutions.
- Travel for work (short trips) to other places such as the USA, Europe, Asia, Latin America.
- Work in person in São Paulo as needed.
- Act within a Global Team and play a key role in the project to create our Global Kitchen Aid E‑commerce platform.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate or postgraduate in System Information, Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.
- Fluent English.
- Expertise in backend software development, cloud technologies (AWS / GCP), microservices, integrations and APIs (REST / gRPC).
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, Python, and database design (SQL / NoSQL).
- Hands‑on experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of compliance (GDPR, PCI‑DSS) and data privacy in backend systems.
Preferred Skills and Experiences
- Experience with complex systems and big projects.
- Previous experience with ERP systems and integrations (mainly SAP S/4 HANA).
- Experience with e‑commerce platforms (VTEX, Hybris, Shopify, Magento, etc).
- AWS certifications.
- Proficiency in agile development methodologies and tools.
