Sherwin-Williams Brazil is seeking a Senior Attorney to provide legal support across business units and corporate functions. You will advise on legal matters, support compliance initiatives, negotiate and draft contracts, and manage external counsel to protect company interests.

The role requires a law degree and active OAB license, fluent English, and 10+ years of legal experience in firms or corporate departments. Hybrid work in São Bernardo do Campo, SP is offered.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law and active license to practice law in Brazil (OAB).
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• 10+ years of legal experience in law firms or corporate legal departments.
• Experience in contract negotiation, contract drafting, and legal advisory.
• Preferred Advanced Spanish.
• Experience in Labor & Employment Law.
• Experience in Corporate Law.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal support and advice to business units and corporate functions.
• Lead projects and teams providing legal support and solutions.
• Research, develop and coordinate implementation of legal solutions.
• Identify and analyze existing and emerging legal risks; develop risk-based strategies.
• Assist in development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with outside counsel to manage costs and effectiveness.
• Advise mid-management and operational staff on legal issues and impact on objectives.

We are looking for a Senior Attorney, who will be responsible for providing legal support to business units and corporate functions, advising on legal matters, supporting compliance initiatives, mitigating legal risks, and assisting in the development and implementation of legal solutions aligned with business needs. As a legal partner to the business, the Senior Attorney plays an important role in supporting operations through practical legal advice, risk analysis, compliance support, contract negotiation and drafting, and the management of legal matters impacting the organization.

Location: São Bernardo do Campo/SP (Hybrid Model 3x2)

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Support and Advice Supports projects and teams - Supports or leads projects and teams providing legal support and solutions to the company's business units or corporate departments.
• Provides advice - Provides focused and practical legal advice respecting business operations as well as the impact of current or anticipated laws, rules and regulations.
• Substantiates positions - Researches, develops and coordinates implementation of legal solutions.
• Mitigates risk - Identifies and analyzes existing and emerging legal risks.Develops and implements business-focused strategies to manage risks.
• Compliance - Assists the development and implementation of policies, procedures and control mechanisms to promote compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Proactive guidance - Stays abreast of new regulations and emerging legal risks; provides proactive advice and counsel to business units and corporate functions that may be impacted Risk Management and Compliance Demonstrates the development of legal expertise and support for legal affairs of business units or enterprise-wide functions. Develops understanding of the operational model by which the supported business unit or enterprise-wide function operates Supports clients on a cost-effective basis Manages outside counsel in an efficient and cost-effective manner, as necessary
• Business Partnership and Legal Support Engages, communicates with and advises mid-management and operational business level of clients Develops basic understanding of how legal support affects objectives, risks and returns of business clients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law and active license to practice law in Brazil (OAB).
