Position Summary
The main role is to lead and execute the Medical strategy in the home country, as well as support initiatives for Latin America in a collaborative manner. The position aims to generate business demand by increasing the visibility of products and solutions through a clinical / scientific approach, influencing physicians, professional societies, and healthcare institutions, and promoting the adoption of these solutions as the standard of care, in order to achieve sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the medical strategy, ensuring clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with executive leaders to align medical objectives with the company's vision and mission.
- Oversee the implementation of effective clinical practices and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Participate in strategic decision‑making related to the development of new products and portfolio expansion.
- Create, validate, and effectively communicate scientific information related to the company's products, translating complex scientific data into clear and persuasive messages that support the perception and acceptance of our medical products in the market.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with societies, opinion leaders, physicians, laboratory professionals, and other healthcare specialists to understand their needs, share relevant product information, and gather valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
- Design educational and promotional plans for the scientific community.
- Plan and execute programs and activities aimed at improving the skills, knowledge, and competencies of teams interacting with clients, such as sales, marketing, and others.
- Provide leadership and guidance to medical professionals and clinical staff in the context of diagnostic and medical devices.
- Participate in resolving issues related to the company's products and services.
- Stay updated on medical advancements, regulations, and trends specific to the diagnostic and medical device industry.
Skills and Competences
- Deep Knowledge in Medicine and Health Sciences: Expertise in relevant therapeutic areas, clinical protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
- Planning and Execution of Clinical Trials: Ability to design, manage, and evaluate clinical trials effectively.
- Understanding of GCP and Regulatory Guidelines: Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and local and international regulatory standards.
- Scientific Publications and Data Communication: Experience in writing and reviewing scientific publications and in communicating research data clearly and persuasively.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience Required for the Role (Education, Experience, and Training)
- 1. Education: Professional with training in Healthcare areas (Medicine, Pharmacist, Chemistry, Biology, Genetics, or any other health sciences).
- 2. Experience: More than 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry (pharmaceutical industry or medical device) or in medical affairs. Comprehensive knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and applicable clinical practice guidelines, as well as the healthcare ecosystem in which the role will operate.
