Jobtailor is seeking a senior procurement expert to lead strategic sourcing for logistics services in Brazil. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize total cost of ownership across road freight, warehousing, and dangerous goods handling.

English fluency is required with Spanish a plus; SAP and Power BI skills are essential. The role emphasizes risk management, analytics, and compliance within a global sourcing framework.

Qualificações

Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA preferred for strategic roles.
Strong experience negotiating complex logistics contracts and managing suppliers.
Knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, and financial modeling.
Experience with SAP, ERP and e-sourcing tools; advanced Excel and BI skills.
Fluent English with Spanish skills a plus; ability to lead audits and compliance.

Supervise procurement activities related to the company’s logistics services.
Ensure the efficient, safe, and competitive supply of transportation, warehousing, gas handling, product distribution, logistics equipment rental, and related services.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, financial targets, and global sourcing strategies.
Lead bidding, negotiation, and contracting processes for logistics service providers.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for road transportation, dedicated and spot freight, warehousing, logistics operators, material handling, equipment rental, and dangerous goods transportation.
Conduct RFQ, RFI, RFP, and e-auction processes.
Prepare total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses and market studies.
Identify, develop, and qualify strategic suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and SLAs, leading performance review meetings and action plans.
Mitigate supply chain-related risks.
Lead commercial negotiations focused on cost reduction and improved service levels.
Prepare, review, and administer contracts in collaboration with Legal, Operations, and Compliance teams.
Ensure operational, financial, environmental, and safety requirements are included in contracts.
Prepare and monitor budgets, identifying opportunities for savings, cost avoidance, and productivity improvements.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethics standards, corporate compliance requirements, and legislation governing the transportation and handling of dangerous goods.
Support internal and external procurement audits.
Monitor savings, cost avoidance, budget, contract coverage, supplier performance, risk, lead time, compliance, supplier concentration, and internal customer satisfaction metrics.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, International Trade, Economics, or a related field.
Postgraduate degree or MBA in Supply Chain, Logistics, Strategic Procurement, or Business Management is preferred.
Strong experience in Strategic Procurement, logistics and transportation services contracting, supplier management, and performance metrics.
Experience negotiating complex medium- and large-scale contracts.
Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Contract Management, road freight transportation, dangerous goods logistics, logistics costs and financial modeling, market analysis, and benchmarking.
Knowledge of ERP systems; SAP is preferred, along with e-Sourcing tools.
Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
Advanced or fluent English.
Intermediate or advanced Spanish is preferred.
