Bahrain Surf Park is seeking a Surf Instructor to welcome guests and deliver high-quality lessons for all skill levels. You will create a safe, engaging learning environment, manage group dynamics, and tailor coaching to each guest's goals.

The role requires a certified instructor with First Aid and Surf Rescue where possible, plus experience in a leisure or hospitality setting. Weekend and holiday work is expected.

Qualificações

• Valid surf instructor certification required (ISA Level 1 or national equivalent).
• Valid First Aid and Surf Rescue certifications preferred.
• Experience as surf coach/instructor in wave pool or structured surf school is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct group lessons, private coaching, and beginner classes per safety standards.

OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

Under the supervision of the Head of SurfInstructors, you will be responsible for welcoming and assisting Bahrain SurfPark guests, ensuring they enjoy a safe, engaging, and memorable surfingexperience.

As a Surf Instructor, you will deliverhigh-quality surf lessons and sessions adapted to each guest’s skill level,from beginners discovering the basics to advanced surfers refiningtheirtechnique.

With an open and friendly personality, youwill create a positive learning environment, manage group dynamics and stresssituations effectively, and provide excellent guest service tailored toeveryone’s needs and objectives. Your passion for surfing and ability toteach with clarity and enthusiasm will help inspire guests to progress andbuild confidence in the water.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Superviseand coach all types of guests: children, teenagers, adults, people withdisabilities, schools, and private groups
• Conductgroup lessons and sessions, private coaching sessions, and introductoryclasses according to the surf park’s standards and safety protocols
• Deliveradvanced coaching sessions for experienced surfers (depending onqualification and experience)
• Ensureproperuse,maintenance, and organization of surf equipment and facilities
• Provideclear, encouraging, and personalized feedback to guests to help themprogress
• Provide anamazingoverallguest experience
• Assistwithguest orientation, including equipment fitting, safety briefings, andsurf theory explanations
• Supportthe operations team during peak periods and contribute to the smoothrunning of daily sessions
• Maintaina professional, friendly, and welcoming attitude,alwaysrepresentingthe surf park’s values
• Participatein team meetings, ongoing training, and continuous improvement of surfcoaching methods
• Workextendedperiods of time, including weekends,schooland publicholidays
• Directcontact with visitors in day-to-dayactivities

• Valid surf instructor certification (ISA Level 1or national equivalent required; higher levels preferred)
• Valid First Aid and SurfRescue certification (ILS, SLSGB, SLSA or equivalent)

Experience

• Provenexperience as a surf coach or instructor, ideally in a wave pool orstructured surf school environment
• Experience ina leisure resort, surf resort or hospitality settingisa plus
• Experience orfamiliaritywithMiddleEast environment andcultureisa plus
• Previousexperiencein a surf park or artificial wave environment is a strong plus

• Ability toadapt teaching style to all ages and abilities, including complete beginnersand adaptive surfers
• Team playerwith great people skills, with aproactive attitude andability tomotivate and inspire guests
• Must have tactand discretion in dealing both with visitors and colleagues

Personal Qualities

• A strongdesireto get people active and improve accessibility and inclusivityfor all
• Committed toworking early mornings, later nights, weekends and holidaysasrequiredwhen the site is at its busiest
• Fluent English is required (B2 minimum), Arabic a plus (highlydesirable)
