Job summary

Bahrain Surf Park is seeking a vigilant Lifeguard to supervise all water and pool areas and respond quickly to incidents, ensuring guest safety. You will support guests in distress and help maintain safety documentation while collaborating with instructors and the operations team.

Must have valid Lifeguard and First Aid certifications and at least 2 years of lifeguard experience in beach or waterpark settings. English is required; Arabic is a strong asset.

Qualifications

• Valid and up-to-date Lifeguard and First Aid certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a beach, surf park or waterpark lifeguard.
• Previous experience in leisure, hospitality or surf resort settings is an advantage.
• English B2 minimum; Arabic is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all surf zones, including the surf lake, its surroundings, pools and access areas.
• Conduct water rescues efficiently and safely according to operational protocols.
• Administer first aid and coordinate with emergency medical services when needed.
• Monitor guest behavior and enforce surf park safety rules to prevent accidents.
• Support guests in distress or requiring assistance both in and out of the water.
• Operate the wave generation system for wave programming and session control (after training).
• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate safety documentation.
• Ensure the upkeep and readiness of all rescues, safety, and first aid equipment.
• Collaborate with surf instructors and operations team to maintain a safe guest experience.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions, drills, and safety reviews.

OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

Under thesupervision of the Head of Lifeguards & Safety, you are responsible forensuring the safety and supervision of all guests at Bahrain Surf Park, aswell as performing rescues when required. You maintain a vigilant presenceboth in and around the water, responding quickly and effectively to anyincident to protect guests and BSP team.

Calm, confident, and decisive under pressure, you are skilled in performing rescues,administering first aid, and managing emergency situations in a dynamic surfenvironment. Your professionalism, awareness, and commitment help create asafe and enjoyable experience for every visitor.

For Bahrain nationals only: completeRLSB Future Lifeguard Training Program

Previousexperience inleisure, hospitality, or surf resort settings is an advantage

Experience with Middle Easternculture and working environment is a plus

Professional Skills&Attributes

Excellent swimming ability, strongphysical condition and confidence in a surf or wave environment

Surfing knowledge or experience isdesirable

Calm and professional responseunder pressure with quick decision-making skills
