Job summary

Yokogawa, a global leader in automation, invites an experienced professional to join as a senior sales support and proposal engineering specialist in Bahrain. You will analyze RFQs, prepare cost estimates, and craft technical and commercial proposals for DCP, BMS, and infrastructure projects. Travel 30-40% across the Middle East is anticipated.

Strong background in E&I estimation, BOMs, and bid negotiations is essential, with a track record reading P&IDs and drawings to align with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instrumentation, electrical, electronics, or related engineering.
• 10–15 years in sales support, estimation, proposal engineering, or system solutions in building services or automation.
• Experience on DCP, BMS, infrastructure, smart city, water utilities, irrigation, or metro projects.
• Strong experience in E&I estimation: field instrumentation, panels, PLC/SCADA, networking, cabling, commissioning.
• Able to read P&IDs, control philosophies, BOQs and diagrams; works under pressure to meet bid schedules.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer RFQs, specifications, drawings, BOQs, and tender documents for proposals.
• Develop cost estimates and pricing strategies for DCP, BMS, infrastructure and utilities automation.
• Review requirements and craft fit-for-purpose automation and control system solutions.
• Prepare BOMs, technical/commercial proposals and compliance documents.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, procurement, and project teams for cost-optimized alignment.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotes, perform bid comparisons, and conduct commercial negotiations.
• Support in defining system architecture, networking, scope, and project execution strategy.
• Participate in bid reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering with stakeholders.
• Ensure timely, high-quality proposals that remain competitive and profitable.
