Job summary

Union is seeking an experienced Site Quantity Surveyor for our on-site construction team in Manama, Bahrain. The role focuses on quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, valuations, and cost control on residential, commercial, or high-rise projects.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on site experience, can read drawings, manage variations, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain budgets.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of site-based quantity surveying experience.
• Experience with BOQ preparation, take-offs, valuations and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Proficient in Excel and AutoCAD.
• Bahrain/GCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site measurements and verify quantities.
• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and interim valuations.
• Review drawings across architectural, structural, civil, and MEP.
• Monitor costs, materials, wastage, and budgets.
• Assist with subcontractor and supplier evaluations.
• Prepare final accounts and cost reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Maintain records of quantities, variations and commercial documents.
