The ideal candidate has strong hands-on site experience, can read drawings, manage variations, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain budgets.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of site-based quantity surveying experience.
• Experience with BOQ preparation, take-offs, valuations and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Proficient in Excel and AutoCAD.
• Bahrain/GCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site measurements and verify quantities.
• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and interim valuations.
• Review drawings across architectural, structural, civil, and MEP.
• Monitor costs, materials, wastage, and budgets.
• Assist with subcontractor and supplier evaluations.
• Prepare final accounts and cost reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Maintain records of quantities, variations and commercial documents.

We are looking for an experienced Site Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Bahrain.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on site experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ, measurements, valuations, variations, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site measurements and verify completed quantities.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates.
• Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Monitor project quantities, costs, materials, and wastage.
• Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and progress claims.
• Evaluate variations, change orders, and additional works.
• Review subcontractor measurements, quotations, and payment applications.
• Assist with subcontractor and supplier evaluations.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
• Maintain records of quantities, measurements, variations, and commercial documents.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Assist with final accounts, cost reports, and commercial documentation.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Strong site-based construction experience.
• Experience in building, villa, residential, commercial, or high-rise projects is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, site measurement, valuations, variations, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, labour rates, and local pricing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; QS/estimation software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Bahrain/GCC construction experience is required/preferred.
• Must be currently available in Bahrain.
• Immediate joiner is highly preferred.
