Job summary

Era Projects in Manama, a leading construction company, seeks a qualified Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and cost plans based on drawings; you will take-off quantities for civil works and have basic MEP understanding.

The role requires 3–5 years QS experience, a Civil Eng or QS degree, proficiency in MS Excel and QS software, GCC contract knowledge, and strong negotiation and communication skills. You will collaborate with project teams on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 3–5 years of experience in QS/quantity surveying role.
• Good knowledge of civil construction and MEP quantities.
• Understanding GCC contracts and commercial practices.
• Fluent in English and Hindi; strong communication skills.
• Advanced MS Excel and QS software familiarity.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and cost plans from drawings.
• Carry out quantity take-offs for civil works with basic MEP quantities.
• Analyze material prices, labor rates, and subcontractor quotations.
• Assist procurement, vendor negotiations, and commercial evaluations.
• Support main/subcontract administration and GCC contract compliance.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare valuations and payments.
• Evaluate variations and change orders; price site instructions.
• Monitor costs, cash flow forecasts, and project reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly commercial reports, final accounts, and claims.
