Job summary

Elia Group in Brussels is seeking a Technical Expert Customer Connection to drive and validate complex connection studies. You will ensure technical quality, translate findings into practical customer solutions, and mentor colleagues in a fast-changing energy landscape.

You will collaborate with Grid Development, Infrastructure and Key Account teams, own Power Quality support processes, and contribute to continuous improvements and data‑driven decisions in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field and several years in power systems.
• Experience with grid connections, grid studies or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret and explain technical studies and Power Quality analyses.
• Strong analytical skills and pragmatic problem solving.
• Experience with multidisciplinary stakeholders as a trusted technical partner.

Responsibilities

• Gather inputs and initiate connection studies and progress.
• Coordinate inputs with Grid Development, Infrastructure and Key Account teams.
• Review complex connection-study cases for technical consistency and outputs.
• Identify inconsistencies between customer requirements and study results.
• Support Studies Operators with escalated technical questions.
• Determine when specialist input from other areas is needed.
• Review offers, contracts and annexes for conformity.
• Develop quality standards, checklists and best practices.
• Coach colleagues and contribute to onboarding and training.
• Translate recurring challenges into processes and templates.
• Own Power Quality customer support process and related inquiries.
• Analyze measurements and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate Power Quality investigations and ensure documentation.
• Contribute to service indicators, reporting and knowledge sharing.
