Job summary

Elia Grid International (EGI) is seeking experienced professionals to reinforce its Power System Operations and Security team in Brussels. You will work on deep RES integration, security of supply, and economic efficiency of power systems across local and international projects.

Requirements include a Master’s in Engineering or Applied Math/Physics, 2–10 years in related fields, and proficiency with PowerFactory/PSSE. Fluent English and additional European languages are strong assets.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or Applied Mathematics/Physics.
• 2-10 years of experience in Power System Operations and Security.
• Knowledge of power system simulation tools (PowerFactory, PSSE).
• Expertise in translating complex data into key strategic insights.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German, Dutch and/or French is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and definition of operational principles.
• Model definition and validation.
• Steady-state (load flow, short circuit calculations).
• Dynamic stability analysis (frequency, voltage stability).
• Grid Code requirement and connection compliance studies.
