Job summary

Elia Group in Belgium is seeking a Power System Engineer to join the Power System Data Operations team. You will help ensure a reliable digital model of the high‑voltage grid, supporting grid operations and planning with data, automation and continuous improvement.

You will maintain and improve the Digital Twin, update the model with PowerFactory weekly, assist operators, develop tools for data exchanges and enhance data quality for regional and national control centres.

Qualifications

Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of Python or willingness to learn quickly.
Interest in operational data, automation and power system modelling.
Ability to work independently and adapt to a changing environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve the grid model in line with operational needs.
Weekly updates of the model in PowerFactory; analyze discrepancies and implement corrections.
Support operators and adapt procedures; collaborate with software teams.
Assist regional/national control centres in analyzing incidents and communicating impact.
Develop tools and interfaces to manage the Digital Twin data exchanges.
Define quality indicators and automate reporting; analyse trends for improvements.
