3E in Brussels seeks a Solar & BESS Energy Engineer to sustain growth and support customer needs from our headquarters. You will perform energy yield calculations, analyse results, and conduct feasibility studies while inspecting sites across projects in the EMEA region.

Initially you will work on projects under a colleague and progressively take on project management tasks. The role blends field inspections with desk studies and customer interactions in a dynamic renewable energy environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong organisational and technical writing skills.
• Ability to handle several projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel for short trips abroad.
• Fluent in English.

Description

To sustain our continuous growth, we are looking for a Solar & BESS Energy Engineer. You will be working with our team of experts from our headquarters in Brussels. Our dynamic team will be your continuous sounding board while you serve the needs of our customers.

Your job will be versatile and require dynamism. One day you will be with your boots on inspecting a construction site, the other day you will be behind your PC screen analysing the expected yield or fine-tuning a PV design.

In a nutshell, your main tasks will be:

• You will perform energy yield calculations, using industry recognised software and internal tools & processes.
• You will analyse the results and produce client reports.
• You will perform technical feasibility studies.
• You will perform site inspections before, during and after construction of projects.
• Over time, you will also start interacting directly with customers.

At first you will work on a project managed by one of your colleagues and gradually you will be taking the role of project manager yourself. You will be working within out EMEA team, which is a combination of Resource Assessment, Due Diligence and Owner's Engineering experts.

Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic colleague who is eager to learn, and who can bring an open and flexible mindset.

• You hold a Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
• You have 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• You’re highly organised, with excellent technical writing skills.
• You like finding solutions, notice the little details that make a difference, and thrive when handling several projects simultaneously.
• You are confortable working in a dynamic environment and adapting to changing priorities when needed.
• We are looking for a candidate with affinity and interest for everything related to Renewable Energy. You show a strong interest in renewable energies, and this reflects in your way of life.
• You are available for short trips abroad (during the project construction monitoring period - usually for a few days/month). Occasionally we conduct longer-term assignments (couple of weeks) and travelling might be required.
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written)

Bonus points for:

• Knowledge on BESS Design and deployment focus on Li-on technology, PVsyst, AutoCAD, PVCase, etc.
• Eastern European languages are a big plus.
