SMA Benelux is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer LS to maintain, commission, diagnose, and repair SMA solar inverter systems across the Benelux region. You will ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime for customers.

You will engage with leading solar industry partners, applying technical expertise and strong customer service to deliver reliable support and quality service. A willingness to travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanics or closely related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical systems or power electronics.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, measurement equipment, and safety regulations.
• Understanding of IP networking technology.
• Experience with MS Office and SAP.

• Commission, inspect, maintain, and repair PV systems and SMA inverter technology.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site.
• Work with both string and central inverter systems.
• Support customers with troubleshooting and service-related inquiries.
• Manage service logistics and spare parts.
• Document activities and technical findings in SAP CRM.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Travel throughout the Benelux region to support installations.

About the Role

As a Field Service Engineer LS, you will be responsible for maintaining, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing SMA's commercial and utility-scale solar inverter systems across the Benelux region. You'll play a key role in ensuring optimal system performance and minimizing downtime for our customers.

Working closely with some of the leading companies in the solar industry, you'll combine technical expertise with excellent customer service to deliver the highest standards of support and reliability.

What You'll Do

• Commission, inspect, maintain, and repair photovoltaic (PV) systems and SMA inverter technology.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site.
• Work with both string and central inverter systems.
• Support customers with troubleshooting and service-related inquiries.
• Manage service logistics and spare parts.
• Document activities and technical findings in SAP CRM.
• Ensure compliance with the highest health, safety, and quality standards.
• Travel throughout the Benelux region to support renewable energy installations

What We're Looking For

Technical Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical systems or power electronics.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, measurement equipment, and safety regulations.
• Understanding of IP networking technology.
• Experience with MS Office and SAP.

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and good sense of humor.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is an advantage
