Qualifications

On behalf of Enerdeal, a fast-growing and innovative company specialised in developing, financing, and managing large-scale photovoltaic projects, Artemys is seeking an Asset Performance and Maintenance Manager – Solar Projects, to oversee the overall management, performance, and value optimization of a portfolio of solar PV assets.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Enerdeal specializes in developing, financing, constructing, and operating large-scale smart PV and battery storage systems for industrial and commercial clients. As a full-scope EPC partner, Enerdeal delivers turnkey solar solutions tailored to the needs of energy-intensive industries and large property owners.

Since 2009, Enerdeal has enabled smarter energy use across more than 3,000,000 m² of solar installations on carports, rooftops, façades, and ground areas. Enerdeal is active in Belgium and Luxembourg, and is expanding in France. Since February 2023, Enerdeal has been part of the EDP Group, a global leader in renewable energy.

To better address the growing market opportunities for large power plants (500 kWp+), Enerdeal is looking for an Asset Performance and Maintenance Manager – Solar Projects. The role combines Asset Management (financial, contractual, investor-focused), Performance Management, and Maintenance & Operations oversight (technical performance and uptime).

As an Asset Performance and Maintenance Manager – Solar Projects, you will be responsible for the overall management, performance, and value optimisation of a portfolio of solar PV assets (both within Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) and under Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracts). The portfolio mainly includes industrial B2B solar installations belonging either to the group (via SPVs in Belgium & Luxembourg) or to third-party and under O&M contracts. This portfolio may evolve with company growth.

In addition, you will be acting as the single point of accountability post-handover, ensuring that assets deliver expected returns, as well as optimal performance, and high client satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities:

• Act as the person responsible and SPOC for each asset/SPV after handover (Sales → Operations)
• Manage and monitor: lease contracts & rental income; PPAs; green certificates & energy revenues; indexation mechanisms
• Oversee all incoming costs: (i) Loans (bank, shareholder, subordinated); and (ii) EPC, O&M, insurance, management fees
• Ensure compliance with: regulatory obligations (RGIE, certifications, etc.), tax frameworks (BE & LUX), and grid operator requirements
• Coordinate with fiduciaries and manage VAT & accounting interfaces
• Ensure full insurance coverage and claims follow-up

II Performance Management & Value Optimization

• Monitor asset performance VS business plan / IRR model, irradiation benchmarks, and historical data
• Identify underperformance – diagnose root causes, define and implement corrective actions
• Maintain and continuously update performance models
• Prepare quarterly performance reports for management, clients, and investors

III Maintenance & Operations Oversight

• Oversee O&M activities to ensure: (i) Maximum uptime; (ii) Compliance with contractual SLAs; and (iii) Safety and adherence to regulations (conducting risk assessments)
• Structure and manage maintenance activities: Preventive & corrective maintenance
• Supervise and manage internal and/or external O&M teams
• Monitor real-time performance via monitoring systems
• Ensure rapid response to incidents and deviations
• Validate and challenge maintenance providers' performance
• Conduct or coordinate regular site inspections
• Ensure data collection and continuous improvement
• Manage onboarding of new assets into the O&M portfolio

IV Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as primary contact for clients (industrial B2B), investors/shareholders, and external partners
• Manage client requests, complaints, incidents, and performance commitments
• Deliver regular reporting: production reports, performance, and financial updates
• Maintain strong client relationships with a commercial mindset

V Financial Follow-up & Reporting together with the Financial Controller

• Monitor revenues and costs at the asset level
• Ensure consistency between operational data, financial models, and invoicing
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Contribute to cash flow visibility at the portfolio level
• Compare and optimise the costs of the M&O department versus benchmarks of external subcontractors
• Optimize processes through automation and better use of monitoring tools (Huawei Fusion, SynaptiQ)
• Improve reporting quality and efficiency
• Contribute to structuring the Asset Management function

YOUR PROFILE

• Relevant technical degree (industrial engineering)
• Experience in solar PV / renewable energy, or asset management / technical infrastructure/energy service projects
• Proven experience in operational asset management and O&M / performance monitoring / managing client relations / managing technical teams
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems and performance drivers, and energy contracts (PPA, leasing, self-consumption)
• Financial literacy (IRR, business plans, cost structures)
• Data-driven mindset (Excel, monitoring tools, BI)
• Bilingual Dutch/French and good English, spoken and written
• Strong ownership and accountability
