Job summary

BDO Belgium is seeking an Internal Audit Manager focused on Financial Services to expand our Internal Audit offering within the Business Risk team. You will lead engagements, translate client needs into risk-based IA and Internal Control services, and help grow our dedicated Financial Services portfolio for banking and insurance clients.

You will build sector knowledge, develop methodologies, and coach colleagues.

Qualifications

Master's degree in business administration, Law, Economics, Management, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Internal Control or a similar field, including substantial experience with banking and/or insurance clients.

Responsibilities

Lead, execute and report on risk-based internal audits for banking and insurance clients.
Help strengthen governance, risk management and internal control frameworks for clients.
Develop consistent methodologies, audit programmes and reporting practices.
Manage engagement delivery and ensure quality of the team’s work.
Coordinate planning, staffing and delivery across concurrent projects.
Build and coach a dedicated Financial Services IA team with Business Risk leadership.
Act as a trusted relationship manager for banking and insurance clients.
Identify opportunities and contribute to proposals and client pitches.
