Zusammenfassung

BDO in Belgium seeks an Internal Audit Manager focused on Financial Services to grow our Internal Audit offering within the Business Risk team. You will lead FS internal audits and build a dedicated FS IA team, translating regulatory changes into client-ready audit approaches.

You will develop sector knowledge, manage client portfolios, and drive value through risk-based recommendations while coaching colleagues and expanding our FS client base across banking and insurance.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in business administration, law, economics, management, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Internal Control or a similar field, including banking and/or insurance clients.
• Experience leading engagements and coaching team members.
• Knowledge of GIAS, COSO and regulatory environments relevant to banking/insurance.

Aufgaben

• Lead, execute and report on risk-based internal audits for banking and insurance clients, translating sector-specific risks into actionable findings.
• Help strengthen governance, risk management and internal control frameworks for FS clients, considering regulatory context.
• Develop methodologies, audit programmes, reporting practices and quality review processes; ensure engagement delivery and team quality.
• Coordinate engagement planning, staffing and delivery across concurrent projects and ensure timely client communication.
• Build and coach a dedicated Financial Services Internal Audit team in collaboration with Leadership.
• Act as trusted relationship manager for banking and insurance clients and identify opportunities for services.
• Support proposals, pitches and sector-focused service development.
