Job summary

BDO Belgium is seeking an Internal Audit Manager in Risk Advisory to lead risk-based audits and strengthen internal controls for diverse clients from the Zaventem office. You will mentor team members, manage multiple engagements, and drive innovative approaches in audit delivery.

You will collaborate with clients across sectors, apply IIa standards and COSO/ISO 31000 frameworks, and travel as necessary to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Internal Audit, Internal Control, External Audit or similar.
• Familiarity with internal audit standards (IIA) and risk frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000).
• Strong analytical and facilitation abilities; leadership and client workshop/presentation skills.
• Fluent Dutch or French and English.

Responsibilities

• Execute & report on risk-based internal audits with value-driven advice.
• Support clients in optimizing internal control frameworks; consider automation where possible.
• Take responsibility for entire projects and ensure team quality.
• Manage multiple projects with transparency and timely delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing.
• Travel within Europe and beyond as needed.
