BDO Belgium is seeking a Senior Manager Internal Audit & Internal Control within our Risk Advisory practice to help clients strengthen governance, risk and control environments while driving sustainable business performance, building long-term relationships and expanding BDO’s footprint in the Belgian market.

You will lead complex engagements from planning to delivery, act as a trusted advisor to executive management, Audit Committees and Boards, and develop your teams through mentorship,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Internal Audit, Internal Control, Risk Management, External Audit or Advisory.
• Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Internal Audit standards (IIA), COSO, Enterprise Risk Management and Governance frameworks.
• Proven experience managing executive stakeholders and large client portfolios.
• Strong business development track record.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial mindset with understanding of project economics and profitability.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Fluent in Dutch or French and English.

Responsabilités

• Lead complex Internal Audit and Internal Control engagements from planning to delivery.
• Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, Audit Committees and Boards.
• Build and manage long-term client relationships with high satisfaction.
• Identify business opportunities, develop proposals, and contribute to revenue growth.
• Drive innovation and help expand BDO’s Internal Audit and Risk Advisory offerings.
• Lead, coach and develop colleagues.
• Support recruitment, resource planning, and team development initiatives.
• Ensure high-quality delivery, project profitability and compliance with professional standards.
• Represent BDO in the market through networking, events and thought leadership.
