Job summary

Leggett & Platt Inc. is seeking a Sr. EHS Specialist to support and strengthen EHS performance across its European operations. You will work with site leaders and EHS reps to improve compliance, reduce risk, and promote consistent execution of corporate EHS expectations.

Reporting to the Regional EHS Manager, you’ll provide technical guidance on environmental, health, and safety matters, including ISO compliance and cross-country regulatory requirements. Regular travel within Europe is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant Environmental, Health & Safety qualification or equivalent regional credential preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Deep knowledge of EU OSH requirements and environmental controls.

Responsibilities

• Support regional EHS plans across Europe and align with corporate goals.
• Serve as a regional EHS resource to site leadership for regulatory expectations and risk reduction.
• Assess site needs, prioritize EHS actions and advise on practical solutions.
• Maintain field presence during site visits and coach leaders on EHS practices.
• Identify capability gaps and strengthen local ownership and execution.
• Promote consistent adoption of EHS expectations while interpreting country regulations.
• Ensure incidents and near misses are reported and investigated per company standards.
• Assist with incident investigations and root-cause analysis for complex events.
• Analyze trends to identify systemic prevention opportunities and improvements.
