Job summary

SEIDOR seeks a Senior Data Analyst to join our team remotely. You will analyze business contexts, gather requirements, and model processes to align with strategic goals.

The role requires advanced SQL, Python/R, and strong BI experience to design dashboards and data solutions, while collaborating with stakeholders and contractors worldwide. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in data warehousing, ETL, and data quality techniques, with the ability to communicate complex insights clearly

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL skills with complex queries and performance optimisation.
• Strong knowledge of Python, R or equivalent for data analysis.
• Experience with BI and reporting platforms (Power BI, Qlik, SAP BI or Microsoft Fabric).
• Understanding of dimensional modelling (star/snowflake schemas).
• Experience with ETL orchestration and data integration processes.
• Knowledge of data quality, reconciliation and validation techniques.
• Ability to develop scalable reporting solutions and maintain KPI definitions.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team Remotely.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?

• Analyse business contexts, objectives and stakeholder needs to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Gather, validate and document business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshops.
• Analyse existing business processes, identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Model business processes, workflows and system interactions using BPMN, UML or equivalent methodologies.
• Perform gap analyses between current and target business processes and capabilities.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, business cases and other project documentation.
• Identify business and operational risks and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Define and document functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, security and usability.
• Support test case design, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and requirements validation.
• Maintain requirements traceability and manage changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams and external contractors.
• Prepare clear presentations, diagrams and reports for senior stakeholders.

Requirements

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

• Secondary education level / Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• At least 22 years of relevant work experience / 17 if you hold a a Bachelor's degree / 15 if you hold a Master's degree.
• At least 10 years of experience in data analysis and manipulation using SQL, Python, R or equivalent technologies.
• At least 10 years of experience implementing data visualisation and reporting solutions using Power BI, Qlik, SAP BI, Microsoft Fabric or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience with data warehousing concepts and platforms, including star/snowflake schemas, Snowflake, BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in ETL processes and orchestration tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, SAP DS, SAP BODI/BODS or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience with data preparation and transformation tools such as Alteryx, Power Query, dbt, SAP DS or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports.
• At least 5 years of experience in data preparation and ETL, integrating and cleaning data from multiple sources.
• At least 10 years of experience analysing datasets, identifying trends and delivering evidence-based insights.
• At least 10 years of experience presenting analytical findings through data visualisation and storytelling to support decision-making

Specific Requirements

• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries and performance optimisation.
• Strong practical knowledge of Python, R or equivalent data analysis technologies.
• Expertise in BI and reporting platforms such as Power BI, Qlik, SAP BI or Microsoft Fabric.
• Solid understanding of dimensional data modelling, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience with ETL orchestration, data integration and transformation processes.
• Knowledge of data quality assurance, reconciliation and validation techniques.
• Ability to develop scalable reporting solutions and maintain consistent KPI definitions.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to present complex analytical findings clearly to non-technical audiences.

Additional Valued Skills

• 3 years of experience in basic machine learning algorithms (such as regression, clustering, classification or equivalent) to support advanced analytics in collaboration with data scientists.
• 3 years of experience in cloud-based data services (such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse or equivalent) to enable scalable and modern analytics.
