Job description

#WEAREALTIA

ALTIA is a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering advanced data-driven solutions that generate measurable impact and enable smarter decision-making. Working across international environments, we combine analytics, artificial intelligence, and business expertise to transform data into strategic value. Our mission is to help organizations evolve through innovation, scalable data platforms, and high-quality analytical solutions, fostering continuous learning, collaboration, and technological excellence.

We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist with solid hands-on expertise in machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), business intelligence, data preparation, and MLOps to join our team in digital transformation initiatives supporting large-scale administrative, financial, and digital service domain platforms.

The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, UX designers, data analysts, and solution architects to frame business challenges into data science hypotheses. The specialist will design, train, and deploy predictive and statistical models handling both structured and unstructured data, as well as build automated data preparation pipelines and feature engineering processes. Additionally, the candidate will focus on MLOps practices (CI/CD, model registries, APIs, containerization), model monitoring (bias, drift, accuracy), interactive reporting (Power BI, Qlik, SAP Analytics), and compliance with emerging AI governance frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR, model cards, explainability).

In close collaboration with cross-functional product teams, the specialist will design rigorous experiments (A/B testing, cross-validation), build data visualization storyboards, and maintain production-grade models. The position requires strong proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, along with practical experience in machine learning libraries, ETL orchestration, and cloud/distributed data environments.

WHAT WE HAVE FOR YOU?
  • Remote work model (far-site delivery with occasional presence in Brussels if required).
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Stable position with high-potential professional growth opportunities in international environments.
  • Continuous learning and upskilling in cutting-edge MLOps practices, NLP, AI governance, and advanced analytics.
  • Integration into an experienced, collaborative, and multicultural international team.
  • Participation in high-impact international digital and ICT projects.
  • Inclusive and innovation-driven work environment.
