Job summary

TiTANS België is seeking a Data Functional Analyst to translate business needs into scalable data products within the DBS data platform. You will collaborate with business experts, data engineers and project teams to design data models, flows and high-quality data solutions.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, BI/analytics experience, and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders. Fluency in FR or NL is expected, with hybrid on-site work in Belgium.

Mission
The data functional analyst plays a key role in transforming business needs into valuable data-driven solutions. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, he/she helps shape the data platform capability that enable the company to make informed decisions.

The data functional analyst contributes to the design and evolution of our data platform, ensuring that business requirements are translated into robust, scalable and high-quality data products. As our data landscape continues to evolve, he/she may have to opportunity to participate in the adoption of modern data technologies and cloud-enabled architectures.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support business needs
  • Collaborate with Business data analyst, business experts and project stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics and data requirements.
  • Support the refinement and formalisation of business needs, ensuring requirements are clearly documented, consistent and actionable.
  • Ensure traceability between business requirements, business rules and delivered data solutions.
• Translate business needs into data solutions
  • Produce and maintain functional analyses, business rules and detailed specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with Business data analyst, Business Process Analysts, Data Engineers, IT Analysts and project teams.
  • Prototype and validate business rules with stakeholders.
  • Ensure traceability between business requirements, source systems and delivered solutions.
• Design data models and information flows
  • Contribute to the functional design of enterprise data warehouse, datamart and analytical data models.
  • Define source-to-target mappings and integration logic.
  • Participate in the design of scalable data flows and modern data architectures supporting future business needs.
• Ensure data quality and solution reliability
  • Analyse and profile operational data sources.
  • Identify data quality issues and contribute to their resolution.
  • Validate the consistency and integrity of business rules throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Context

Within the Digital Business Solutions (DBS) department, the Data Management & Analytics service is developing and maintaining the data platform aimed at producing value-added information to support decision-making, business steering and performance management, as well as feeding into official reporting.
