Job summary

Paulig is seeking a Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability, availability and maintainability of plant assets in our Belgian site. You will analyze data, perform RCA, and develop maintenance strategies to minimize downtime while maximizing asset lifecycle value.

You will collaborate with maintenance and operations teams, apply FMEAs/RCMs, and support capital projects with reliability input during design, commissioning and startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree electromechanics with extensive theoretical and practical knowledge.
• Preferably 5 years of experience in manufacturing processes, food industry beneficial.
• Fluency in Dutch and English; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reliability strategies to improve equipment uptime and reduce maintenance costs.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor asset health using vibration analysis, oil analysis, and thermography.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to plan preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Create and maintain reliability models such as FMEAs and RCMs.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Support capital projects with reliability input during design, commissioning, and startup.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Ensure safety and environmental regulation compliance related to equipment.
• Train maintenance staff on reliability best practices and tools.
• Contribute to audits (FSSC, ISO14001, BRC) and health, safety, and environmental objectives.
