Job summary

Paulig is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance execution at the Roeselare site in Belgium. You will drive safe, efficient maintenance, translate plans into action, and align daily work with business goals and continuous improvement.

You will empower teams, set clear targets, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure reliable technical performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Preferably 5+ years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Experience in manufacturing; food industry experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Familiar with MS Office and CMMS software.
• Strong leadership, communication and people skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the maintenance execution team to perform at their best.
• Set objectives for the maintenance team and translate priorities into targets.
• Own the execution of preventive maintenance with team leaders.
• Validate maintenance planning and steer daily execution.
• Ensure timely actions for urgent technical issues.
• Monitor safety, quality and compliance of maintenance work with leaders.
• Review contractor work and service performance.
• Communicate progress against the maintenance plan.
• Debrief after major issues and follow up actions.
• Develop the maintenance team with team leaders.
• Ensure information flow between maintenance and stakeholders.
• Contribute to audits like FSSC, ISO 14001 and BRC and health/safety requirements.
• Track indicators: availability, waste, budget vs plan, MTTR.
