Puratos in Belgium is seeking an Expert Test Baker to lead baking trials, produce reliable data and translate observations into actionable recommendations for product development. You will plan and manage tests autonomously, ensure precise execution and timely reporting, and share technical expertise on baking technologies with R&D and stakeholders.

Fluent English is required; additional languages are an asset.

Qualifications

• Baker's degree or related field, or 8+ years bakery experience.
• Strong hands-on bakery expertise with knowledge of baking technologies, ingredient functionality and texture measurements.
• Able to work autonomously, manage priorities and adapt quickly to changing plans and urgent requests.
• Accurate and analytical, with experience evaluating and documenting dough and product characteristics.
• Critical thinker with strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical findings into clear recommendations.
• Digitally savvy and comfortable with modern reporting and data management tools.
• Team player with a proactive mindset and the ability to collaborate across functions and locations.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.

Responsabilités

• Plan and manage baking tests autonomously, ensuring accurate execution and timely delivery and create high quality baking reports within the given deadlines.
• Generate reliable data and translate test results into valuable insights and recommendations for R&D teams and business stakeholders.
• Develop and share technical expertise in baking technologies, ingredients, and evaluation methods.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives, internal seminars, and the continuous improvement of baking protocols and tools. Together with Application Specialists and Technical Advisors, help develop new baking protocols and optimize existing procedures.
