Puratos Belgium is seeking an R&D Lab Assistant for Sprouted Grains & Soft Grains to support the development of innovative grain-based products from prototype to pilot trials. You will prepare, process, test and evaluate sprouted and soft grain solutions, focusing on taste, texture and quality, and document results for ongoing projects across R&D and bakery applications.

Working closely with colleagues across R&D and international teams, you will gain responsibility over trials and reporting,

Qualifications

• Hands-on interest in food product development and laboratory work required.
• Experience in a food laboratory or industrial environment is an asset.
• Strong sensory awareness and willingness to evaluate products critically.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and execute lab and pilot trials for sprouted and soft grains, including recipe preparation and sampling.
• Support product and process development following experimental designs.
• Perform basic physico-chemical checks (pH, viscosity) and coordinate more complex analyses.
• Evaluate taste, texture and overall product quality through sensory assessments.
• Record, analyze and report trial results clearly for R&D projects.
• Collaborate with test bakers, R&D colleagues and international stakeholders.
• Contribute to a safe lab environment by organizing materials and following hygiene practices.
