Job summary

The Usual Brussels is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead and inspire the housekeeping team, maintaining high cleanliness, safety and presentation standards across rooms and public areas. You will drive efficient daily operations and collaborate with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure guest satisfaction.

You will oversee staffing, schedules and budgets while coaching staff, addressing feedback, and promoting sustainability across hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years in housekeeping within hospitality, with supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and proactive mindset.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language is a plus.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support the housekeeping team and foster a positive work environment.
• Oversee daily operations, room assignments, schedules and staffing levels.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments for smooth operations.
• Monitor supplies, costs and budgets; drive efficiency and waste reduction.
• Address guest feedback promptly and ensure a welcoming stay.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training and development of staff.
• Ensure health, safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures are followed.
