Job summary

The Usual Brussels is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning tasks and maintain spotless rooms and public areas. You will lead the team on the floor, support colleagues, and ensure guest spaces are welcoming and well presented.

You will role-model hands-on leadership, monitor progress, and collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager to address operational needs and ensure high standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel.
• Lead by example and help with daily cleaning tasks.
• Eye for detail and consistently high cleaning standards.
• Ability to divide tasks and monitor progress.
• Approachable and able to give clear instructions.
• Problem solver who escalates when needed.
• Fluent English; Dutch knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the housekeeping team on your shift with clear instructions.
• Distribute daily cleaning tasks and monitor progress.
• Inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness and presentation.
• Provide hands-on cleaning support during busy shifts.
• Keep Front Office updated on room status and issues.
• Mentor new team members with practical guidance.
• Ensure trolleys, linen, and supplies are ready and stocked.
• Handle day-to-day guest requests and escalate when needed.
• Follow hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards.
