Agilent is seeking an Application Engineer in Ghent, Belgium, to support customers with OpenLab Sync workflows and lab informatics solutions. You will work closely with clients, translating their needs into robust workflows and integrating instruments through plugins, while continually learning about new software technologies, instruments, and consumables.

Qualifications

• University degree in life sciences or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on laboratory experience in analytical chemistry, biobanks, pharma, biopharma, genomics, or related areas.
• Experience with LIMS, ELN, LES, SDMS, CDS or laboratory workflow management systems.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python with proven coding skills.
• Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional teams is desirable.
• Fluency in English; Dutch and/or French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customers' needs and translate them into OpenLab Sync workflows.
• Configure the OpenLab Sync platform to match the lab's requirements.
• Build plugins for connecting instruments or displaying custom forms or portals.
• Act as the customer voice to influence future product design to meet customer needs.
• Script a lab's in-silico tools into our integration framework.
