Agilent Technologies in Ghent (Belgium) is seeking an Application Engineer to support customers across our Lab informatics solutions. The role offers travel to various labs and a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 at home) after onboarding.

You will analyze needs, configure OpenLab Sync, build plugins, and contribute to product design with a customer‑centric mindset. A life sciences or software background with Java or Python is preferred, along with strong communication skills.

Formación

• University degree in Life Sciences or related field, or solid relevant experience.
• Hands‑on laboratory experience in analytical chemistry, biobanks, pharma, biopharma, genomics, NGS, academia, etc.
• Experience with LIMS/ELN/LES/SDMS/CDS or laboratory workflow systems.
• Proficient in Java and Python with proven coding skills.
• Fluency in English; Dutch and/or French a plus.
• Experience working with customers and cross‑functional project teams.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze customers’ needs and translate them into OpenLab Sync workflows.
• Configure the OpenLab Sync platform to match lab requirements.
• Build plugins for connecting instruments or displaying custom forms or portals.
• Act as the customer voice to influence future product design to meet customer needs.
• Script a lab’s in‑silico tools into our integration framework.
