Agilent Technologies Belgium NV is seeking an Application Engineer in Ghent to support customers across OpenLab Sync workflows. The ideal candidate will blend hands-on lab experience with software implementation skills, traveling as needed and thriving in a hybrid work model.

You will analyze customer needs, configure platforms, build plugins, and shape future product design while applying communication skills to deliver effective customer success.

Formación

• University Degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• Hands-on laboratory experience in analytical chemistry or related areas.
• Experience with LIMS, ELN, LES, SDMS, CDS or lab automation is preferred.
• Proven coding skills in Java or Python.
• Experience working with customers or stakeholders is highly desirable.
• Fluent English; Dutch and/or French a plus.

Successful candidates typically have experience working in laboratory informatics, scientific software, LIMS, ELN, LES, or laboratory automation environments.As an Application Engineer part of the Customer Success team in Ghent (Belgium), you will support our valued customers across our Lab informatics product solutions. This role offers you the opportunity to travel and explore a variety of labs, so it is vital to have an appetite for continuously learning about new software technology, instruments, applications, and consumables. A curious individual who is driven to learn and has the desire to understand and solve customer problems to deliver customer success will succeed in this positionThis position will be based in our offices in Ghent (Belgium), with the flexibility to work on a hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 days at home) after the onboarding period.QualificationsQualifications:We are looking for motivated individuals with the following background:University Degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Scientific Informatics, or a related discipline (or alternatively solid relevant experience in this application engineering field)Hands-on laboratory experience in analytical chemistry, biobanks, pharma, biopharma, genomics, NGS, Academia, etc.Preferred experience with LIMS, ELN, LES, SDMS, CDS, laboratory automation, scientific software, or laboratory workflow management systems.You have knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python with proven coding skillsExperience working directly with customers, stakeholders, laboratory users, or cross-functional project teams is highly desirable.Full proficiency in English. Proficiency in Dutch and/or French would be a plusOn a personal level, you possess great problem solving / analytical skills, and you are eager to learn about new software technology, instruments, applications, and consumables. You have communication/interpersonal skills to interact at various levels, and you strive to provide excellent customer support.
