Connect Group is looking for a motivated Support Engineer to be the first point of contact for IT questions from colleagues in production and office environments. You listen, diagnose and resolve incidents, or escalate when needed, to ensure minimal downtime and reliable service delivery.

This entry-level role offers practical training, a permanent full-time contract within the Infrastructure & Operations team, and growth opportunities in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking or a comparable field.
• 0–2 years in IT support, a helpdesk or service desk environment; internships count.
• Excellent spoken and written Dutch and good working knowledge of English for documentation and collaboration with international teams.
• Customer-focused, patient and able to communicate with non-technical users.
• Structured, able to set priorities and analyse problems step by step.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with IT teams.
• Eager to learn and follow procedures, SLAs and agreements.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, end-user devices, networking and ticketing systems.

Responsabilités

• Register and classify incidents and service requests received by phone, ticket or directly at the service desk.
• Provide first-line support in line with ITIL processes and internal work instructions.
• Restore basic services by unlocking accounts, resetting passwords, replacing peripherals or restarting a workstation.
• Handle routine requests such as software installation and setting up new users/workstations.
• Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, PCs, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
• Carry out basic checks on network connections, VPN access and IP connectivity.
• Document symptoms, steps taken and solutions in the ticketing system.
• Elevate complex incidents to second-line support with correct technical information.
• Explain technical steps clearly to production operators and office employees.
