CellCarta is seeking an Associate Assay Development Scientist - Histopathology to join our Antwerp-based team. You will support the Assay Development Unit in optimizing and validating IHC, RISH, FISH, and CTC assays for use in clinical trials, collaborating with QA, RA, and the Clinical Sample Testing Unit.

The role is full-time with a hybrid schedule (2–3 days onsite) at Sint-Bavostraat 78, 2610 Antwerpen (Wilrijk).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Life Sciences (Biology/Biomedical Sciences/Pharmaceutical Sciences preferred).
• Basic knowledge of histology and automated immunohistochemical techniques.
• Strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Advanced command of English with excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly in new areas and apply knowledge.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates professional, high-quality work and analytical mindset.
• Strong interpersonal, diplomatic, collaborative communication.

Responsabilités

• Assist assay development across all project phases, including design, tracking, data analysis, and report prep.
• Coordinate smooth transition of experiments to the laboratory; role is supportive, not hands-on.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure clear, timely communication.
• Provide regular updates and collaborate to meet project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards for intended use.
