CellCarta is seeking an Assay Development Scientist for its Genomics Services team in Belgium. You will lead development, validation and implementation of high-quality qPCR, dPCR, and NGS assays for use in clinical trials, leveraging DNA/RNA technologies.

The role requires at least 3 years in assay development within regulated environments, strong molecular genetics background, and hands-on lab experience. This hybrid position involves three onsite days per week in Wilrijk, Antwerp.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in Life Sciences (preferably Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Biochemistry) or an equivalent discipline.

Responsabilités

Manage, plan, and execute complex technical and laboratory studies; write protocols and review and approve documentation in accordance with design control procedures
Perform laboratory activities supporting the development, validation, and implementation of assays across multiple workflows
Troubleshoot, interpret, and analyze data; evaluate and document studies; and present results in technical reports
Collaborate with internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
Prepare and present scientific data for internal and external projects
Organize, lead, and participate in departmental and client meetings
