CellCarta is seeking a Laboratory Technician I in Belgium to join our genomics and clinical research team. You will perform molecular testing and support laboratory workflows, ideal for recent graduates eager to start a biotech career.

Responsibilities include tissue processing, staining, in situ hybridization, DNA/RNA extraction, flow cytometry and proper sample handling. This 3-month on-site contract offers a hands-on opportunity to grow your skills.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or relevant laboratory experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform tissue processing, sectioning, (immunohistochemical) staining, in situ hybridization, blood/bone marrow processing, flow cytometry, DNA/RNA extraction, and genomic testing.
• Ensure sample material is correctly handled.
• Store samples in the correct location; operate equipment to obtain the correct analysis; maintain meticulous work.
• Provide input on reagent stock status and equipment condition to supervisor/manager.
• Report results, errors and observations as required.
• Use the LIMS, DMS and QMS systems as appropriate.
• Keep the working environment clean and organized.

Laboratory Technician I

Are you a recent graduate seeking to launch your career in genomics and biotech? We are actively looking for a motivated Laboratory Technician I to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our cutting-edge laboratory, performing intricate molecular testing. If you are passionate about scientific exploration and ready to make a meaningful impact in genomics and clinical research, this position offers a stimulating environment to grow your skills and expertise.

Responsibilities

• To perform activities as ordered by departmental supervisors. Tasks can include but are not limited to: tissue processing, sectioning, (immuno) histochemical staining, in situ hybridization, blood/bone marrow processing, flow cytometry, DNA/RNA extraction, genomic testing.
• Ensures the sample material is correctly handled.
• Stores samples/subsamples in the correct storage location. Operates equipment correctly to obtain the correct analysis. Works meticulously and pays attention to detail.
• Gives input of reagent stock status and functioning of equipment to the lab supervisor/manager.
• Reports results, errors and observations as required.
• Uses the LIMS, DMS and QMS systems as and when appropriate.
• Ensures the working environment is clean and organized at all times.

Education

• Technical degree in laboratory science & technology (MSc, BSc or Graduate degree) or relevant experience working in a laboratory.
