CellCarta is seeking a Laboratory Technician I for our Antwerp area lab. The role involves hands-on molecular testing, tissue processing, and adherence to quality systems.

You will work under supervision, learn workflow modules, and contribute to ongoing clinical research initiatives in a fast-paced genomics environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant laboratory experience.
• Ability to follow training and work in a structured environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in sample handling.
• Good command of English, both written and oral.

Responsabilités

• Perform tissue processing, staining, DNA/RNA extraction and genomic testing as ordered.
• Ensure samples are correctly handled and stored.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment, ensuring accurate results.
• Document results and observations in the appropriate systems.
• Report issues to supervisor and participate in quality assurance.
• Maintain clean and organized work environment at all times.
• Utilize LIMS, DMS and QMS systems as required.

Laboratory Technician I

Are you a recent graduate seeking to launch your career in genomics and biotech? We are actively looking for a motivated Laboratory Technician I to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our cutting-edge laboratory, performing intricate molecular testing. If you are passionate about scientific exploration and ready to make a meaningful impact in genomics and clinical research, this position offers a stimulating environment to grow your skills and expertise.

Responsibilities

• To perform activities as ordered by departmental supervisors. Tasks can include but are not limited to: tissue processing, sectioning, (immuno) histochemical staining, in situ hybridization, blood/bone marrow processing, flow cytometry, DNA/RNA extraction, genomic testing.
• Ensures the sample material is correctly handled.
• Stores samples/subsamples in the correct storage location. Operates equipment correctly to obtain the correct analysis. Works meticulously and pays attention to detail.
• Gives input of reagent stock status and functioning of equipment to the lab supervisor/manager.
• Reports results, errors and observations as required.
• Uses the LIMS, DMS and QMS systems as and when appropriate.
• Ensures the working environment is clean and organized at all times.

Education

• Technical degree in laboratory science & technology (MSc, BSc or Graduate degree) or relevant experience working in a laboratory.

Working Conditions

• Duration:3-month contract position
• Schedule:Monday to Friday, 100% on-site
• Location:Sint-Bavostraat 78, 2610 Antwerpen (Wilrijk), Belgium
