atbtherapeutics in Ghent is seeking a Scientist Cell Biology to design, troubleshoot and execute cell-based assays for screening and preclinical evaluation of novel antibody conjugates for autoimmune disease and cancer.

You will work with discovery and cross-functional teams, maintain records, and contribute to SOPs; proficiency in flow cytometry, ELISA and high-content imaging is essential; English fluency required, Dutch/French a plus.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology or a related field with a minimum of 2 years industry experience.
• Demonstrated practical experience in screening and cell-based assay development.
• Experience with primary cells (PBMCs, B cells and T cells).
• Fluency in English; Dutch and/or French are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design and execute molecular and cell biology experiments to screen and characterize novel therapeutic candidates.
• Develop and execute cell-based assays to assess biological activity and mechanism of action of advanced therapeutic candidates.
• Work closely with the discovery team to support the characterization of new molecules.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges of the biology team and develop solutions to improve workflows and experimental outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, documenting protocols, results and observations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including computational biology, structural biology, and protein engineering, to drive screening and preclinical programs forward.
• Contribute to technical documents such as study plans, study reports, protocols, and SOPs within the Quality Management System.
• You will use a variety of technologies: cell culture (cell lines and primary cells), reporter assays, flow cytometry, ELISA, Luminex, High content imaging.
• You will be an essential part of a close-knit, fast-paced company with the ambition of bringing a new class of therapies to patients worldwide.
