TMC Belgium is seeking a Buyer to lead sourcing of technical equipment and services. You will own strategic procurement activities and contribute to major projects, driving end-to-end supplier selection, tendering, negotiation and contracts.

You will collaborate with engineering and project teams, analyze markets and risks, and push for sustainable procurement practices across the organization. The role suits a technically minded professional with 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, technical studies, economics or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in technical procurement or project management.
• Fluency in French, Dutch and English; strong contract negotiation skills.

We are looking for a Buyer to work on the sourcing of technical equipment and services. You will take ownership of strategic procurement activities and contribute to the successful delivery of major projects.

• Develop and implement medium- to long-term procurement strategies for technical equipment and services.
• Manage end-to-end procurement procedures, from defining selection and awarding criteria through tendering, negotiation and contract award.
• Analyse international markets, suppliers and industry developments to identify opportunities and potential risks.
• Collaborate with technical, engineering, project and business stakeholders to understand requirements and align procurement activities.
• Contribute to sustainable procurement initiatives, process improvements and the development of procurement best practices.

What we expect from you:

• Degree in engineering, technical studies, economics or a related field, with a strong technical background.
• 2-5 years of experience in technical procurement, strategic sourcing, public procurement or project management.
• Fluency in French and Dutch and English.
• Good understanding of contract negotiation, strong Microsoft Office skills.
