Job summary

Hawaiian Poké Bowl is opening a new restaurant at Kinepolis Antwerp and seeks an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to lead the team from day one. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager, mainly on the floor, to deliver exceptional guest experiences and flawless service.

You will help manage inventory, orders, scheduling, and KPIs, while coaching and motivating staff, upholding HACCP standards, and contributing ideas for continuous improvement in a dynamic opening environment.

• Relevant hospitality experience, preferably in fast-paced restaurants.
• Experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team.
• Hands-on leader who works alongside the team on the floor.

For the opening of our new restaurant at Kinepolis Antwerp, scheduled for mid-December, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager who is ready to build a strong team and make this new opening a success.

What are your responsibilities?

As an Assistant Manager, you are the right hand of the Restaurant Manager. You keep an overview, take responsibility, and ensure that everything runs smoothly. You are a true hands-on leader who enjoys being on the restaurant floor and leading by example.

You play an active role in the opening of our new restaurant and help ensure a successful start.

You spend 70 to 80% of your working time actively on the restaurant floor, working alongside your team to ensure smooth service and an excellent guest experience.

You support the Restaurant Manager in the daily operational management of the restaurant.

You coach, motivate, and guide the team to achieve the best results together.

You assist with managing inventory, orders, staff scheduling, and KPIs.

You ensure an excellent guest experience and handle any complaints professionally.

You maintain our quality, safety, and hygiene standards (HACCP).

You actively contribute ideas for improvement and help take the restaurant to the next level.

You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and supporting your team whenever needed.

You have relevant experience in hospitality, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

You have experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team.

You are a hands-on leader who enjoys actively working alongside the team on the restaurant floor.

You have knowledge of operational processes such as staff scheduling, inventory management, and KPIs.

You are familiar with HACCP guidelines and work accurately.

You are guest-focused, solution-oriented, and able to stay calm and organised during busy periods.

You take initiative, are confident in taking responsibility, and have a solution-oriented mindset.

You are flexible and available to work evenings and weekends.

You are willing to complete training at other Hawaiian restaurants during your onboarding period to ensure you are fully prepared for the opening.
