Job description

About the role
AI & Automation Solutions Analyst

For an international organisation with a strong presence in Belgium, we are looking for an AI & Automation Solutions Analyst to join the team in Brussels.

In this role, you will act as a bridge between the business and technical AI teams. You will identify business challenges and opportunities, translate them into relevant AI and automation use cases, and help design and deliver secure, scalable solutions.

The position combines business analysis, stakeholder management and hands-on AI and automation delivery. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, data, security and privacy teams, as well as specialised AI teams, to turn ideas into practical solutions that deliver measurable business value.

The organisation is actively expanding its use of AI and automation, making this an opportunity to contribute to a developing AI landscape rather than simply maintaining existing solutions.

Your responsibilities

As an AI & Automation Solutions Analyst, you will:

  • Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges and opportunities.
  • Analyse existing and future business processes and identify opportunities for AI and workflow automation.
  • Assess the feasibility, potential value and expected costs of proposed solutions.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
  • Challenge, prioritise and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Define user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, data requirements, controls and expected business outcomes.
  • Translate business requirements into solution designs covering AI agents, instructions, topics, tools, actions, integrations and user experience.
  • Determine whether solutions can be delivered internally or require support from specialised AI teams.
  • Configure, build, test and maintain AI agents and automation workflows using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate and other internal AI platforms.
  • Work with APIs, integrations, authentication mechanisms and data flows to understand how different components interact.
  • Prepare and execute functional, integration and regression testing.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and follow up on identified issues.
  • Validate solution accuracy, permissions, fallback scenarios and expected outcomes before deployment.
  • Collaborate with architecture, platform, security, privacy and data teams to ensure solutions meet organisational standards.
  • Demonstrate solutions to stakeholders and support their adoption within the business.
  • Prepare user documentation, operating procedures and support materials.
  • Monitor adoption, usage and quality metrics after implementation.
  • Collect stakeholder feedback and manage a prioritised improvement backlog.
  • Provide functional support for incidents, changes and ongoing solution maintenance.
  • Continuously explore new opportunities to apply AI and automation to business processes.
Your profile

We are looking for an analytical and business-oriented professional who is comfortable operating at the intersection of business, technology and AI.

You ideally have:

  • 5 to 8 years of professional experience in business analysis, functional analysis, information systems, engineering, automation or a related environment.
  • Experience combining business or functional analysis with the delivery of digital, low-code or workflow automation solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Automate, or comparable experience with AI/low-code automation platforms.
  • Strong experience in workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, process analysis and stakeholder management.
  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
  • Familiarity with fit-gap analysis and User Acceptance Testing.
  • A practical understanding of AI agent concepts such as instructions, topics, knowledge grounding, actions, guardrails and human hand‑off or escalation.
  • A solid understanding of APIs, integrations, authentication, data flows and basic solution architecture concepts.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical specialists.
  • An understanding of security-by-design, privacy, access control, responsible AI, data governance and maintainability.
  • Familiarity with LLMs, RAG and MCP is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, combined with good business judgement.
  • The ability to assess whether an AI or automation use case is genuinely valuable rather than simply building technology because it exists. Humanity has suffered enough from unnecessary dashboards.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with specialist teams.
Languages

Language skills are important in this role because you will work with stakeholders across different parts of the organisation.

  • English: fluent
  • Dutch and/or French: good professional working knowledge
  • The ability to communicate with and facilitate workshops for both Dutch- and French-speaking stakeholders is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of all three languages (Dutch, French and English) is a strong advantage.
What you can expect

You will join an organisation where AI and automation are becoming increasingly important across the business. The role gives you the opportunity to work on concrete business use cases while collaborating with specialised AI, architecture, security, privacy and data teams.

You can expect:

  • A permanent position based in Brussels.
  • A competitive salary in line with your experience and background.
  • Group insurance and hospitalisation insurance.
  • Meal vouchers and eco vouchers.
  • Representation allowance.
  • 13th month and holiday pay.
  • An electric company car with charging card.
  • Bicycle lease plan.
  • Smartphone with subscription.
  • Internet allowance.
  • Additional paid leave and seniority leave.
  • Homeworking possibilities.
  • Training and career development opportunities.
  • Benefits@Work discounts across culture, sports, travel and other services.
The environment

You will become part of a broad IT organisation where business analysis, applications, architecture, data, security and AI teams work closely together.

The organisation operates across Belgium and has a diverse stakeholder landscape, meaning that strong communication and stakeholder management are just as important as technical knowledge.

AI is still an evolving domain within the organisation. The role therefore offers the opportunity to help shape how AI agents and automation solutions are identified, designed, implemented and continuously improved.
