Westgold Resources is actively seeking a Senior Business Partner - Finance (Tax) with excellent attention to detail and strong knowledge of Australian Tax Law and Accounting to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting to the Manager Financial Reporting, the successful candidate will manage financial operations, coordinate tax reporting processes, and support strategic financial and tax decision-making.

1. Accounting for Corporate Departments
2. Maintenance of the Monthly Tax Fixed Asset Registers
3. Assist with the preparation of the Annual Income Tax return, including liaising with external tax advisors
4. Assist with the preparation of the Group's quarterly tax effect accounting
5. Provide strategic tax advice including drafting internal compliance position papers
6. Managing Monthly Business Activity Statements and Annual Fringe Benefits Tax returns
7. Ensuring Income and Indirect tax compliance and supporting tax governance
8. Maintaining internal Financial, Tax, and Accounting Policies
9. Identify areas for improvement, implement process enhancements, drive efficiency, and identify cost savings
10. Supporting ad-hoc requests as required

• Practical experience with end-of-month reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• At least 5+ years in a similar role, ideally within the mining industry
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills with keen attention to detail
• Thorough knowledge of Australian Tax Law and Accounting
• Knowledge of Canadian Tax Law is desirable
• Bachelor of Business/Commerce
• Full Professional Membership with CA ANZ, CPA Australia, or CTA
