The role of Management Accountant at Avery Healthcare is to prepare full management accounts for a proportion of the care homes in the business. This involves building strong working relationships with the management teams, reviewing and analyzing budget variances, and accurately producing monthly investor packs. As a Management Accountant at Avery Healthcare, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the management accounts for your assigned care homes
• Presenting the accounts to the Finance Director and Head of Commercial Finance
• Maintaining full P&L responsibility with supporting balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing the annual budgets for the homes within your area of the business and participating in the meetings to set these budgets
• Reviewing budgets against prior year performance, looking at trends and variances
• Accurate and timely production of monthly investor packs

ABOUT THE ROLE

As one of our Management Accountants, your focus will be the preparation of full management accounts for a proportion of the care homes in the business. This will involve building strong working relationships with the management teams, allowing you to successfully review and analyse any variances to the budget.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Presenting the management accounts to the Finance Director and Head of Commercial Finance for review
• Full P&L responsibility for each home with supporting balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of the annual budget for the homes within your area of the business and participating in the meetings to set these budgets
• Reviewing budgets against prior year budgets and performance, looking at trends and variances
• Accurate and timely production of monthly investor packs

• Experience in a similar Management Accountant type role, ideally in a large, complex business in a multi-site model
• Experience in building strong working relationships with the operational side of a business
• The ability to take on the responsibility of improving the financial performance of their area of the business
• Experience in improving systems and processes
• Accurate, diligent and able to meet strict deadlines
